CommentThe cemetery is now almost completely destroyed. There are photos of it as it once was in the Bacsa archive at the British Library, file reference Mss Eur F370/807.

Inscription  Here lyeth the body of James Gordon Lennox BARNETT, Lieut Colonel Commanding 1st Batt Leicestershire Regiment at Fort George Madras. Son of the Revd William BARNETT MA Vicar of Boxgrove Sussex and Maria Rosa his wife. ……of exemplary piety and devotion to duty. He departed this life suddenly on SS Ballarat while entering Aden Sept 9 1904 aged 47 years. On whose dear soul Jesu mercy.
